Our morning routine sets the tone for the day ahead, a non-negotiable in our esthetician’s morning routines over at Rescue Spa is their morning skincare routine. Keep it consistent, simple and protective in the morning.
A morning routine with dehydration and menopausal concerns with Connie Henry
Connie is one of our lead estheticians and laser technicians in our Philadelphia location. Connie believes that the skin is simple, it’s what you put into it that counts. Her morning routine consists of products that will target dehydration as well as menopausal skin concerns.
To cleanse I use Cerabalm – clean beauty cleansing balm by Danucera followed by D22 Tonic and/or The Essence for an added hydration boost. Serum wise, I keep it simple but effective with the Environ C-Quence Serum 2. This is the second level in the Youth Essentia C-Quence serum, so it has medium concentrations of vitamins A and C! Following this, I use Cream Supreme or The Rich Cream. I alternate products because that’s what makes my skin happy as I’m menopausal. Some days I’m very dehydrated so it’s a struggle. I usually use my creams close to my eye for the day since I don’t do well with eye creams (I sweat too much). But, if I do use one the Iconic Eye is great near the eyes for someone like me. I always use an SPF, and have been loving the Elta MD UV Clear since it is so lightweight. Followed by Chantecaille makeup. Some days I spray the Biologique Recherche L’eauxygenante spray on top of everything as my finishing product or a little bit of Cerabalm again to seal it all in.

Cream Supreme remains Christina’s typical morning moisturizer for its firming, nourishing and protective properties.

A morning routine with skin barrier protector Diana Yerkes
Diana is our Lead Esthetician and Educator in our New York City location. Diana finds that her role as a skincare professional is to provide education and help you find your best self through wellness, treatment guidance and nutrition. In the morning, Diana listens to her skin and focuses on barrier protection for a healthy glow!
In the morning I focus on waking my skin up and preparing it for what’s ahead! I generally use Lait VIP O2 mixed with the Enzyme Cleansing Booster (2-3 a week with the booster)— leave it on for a few minutes as an easy oxygenating and gently exfoliating mask. Follow with D22 Tonic application and serums. Serums change depending on what my skin needs but generally I use Is Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance at all times plus Hydra3 Regenetic Serum from Valmont. Eye cream in the morning is non-negotiable for me, hello Iconic Eye. Cream Supreme has been a go-to in winter in the mornings followed by Serum Fluide VIP O2 serum and layered with Serum Grand Millesime finishing on high points of my face. The days I have off, I like to use Cerabalm to highlight and provide extra moisturizing barrier over Supreme. Cerabalm on the lips always!
