recipe for stuffed cabbage rolls
One of my favorite recipes as a cooking lover is Stuffed Cabbage Rolls:
INGREDIENTS
• ⅔ cup water
• ⅓ cup uncooked white rice
• 8 cabbage leaves
• 1 pound lean ground turkey
• ¼ cup chopped onion
• 1 egg, slightly beaten
• 3 fresh tomatoes, finely chopped
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
DIRECTIONS
1. Cook rice until tender.
2. Soften cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2-4 minutes.
3. Mix turkey, cooked rice, onion, egg, 2 chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
4. Spoon turkey mixture onto each cabbage leaf, roll, and tuck in ends.
5. Place rolls in a skillet, top with remaining tomato, add hot water. Cover, simmer for 40 minutes, basting occasionally.
Serve with freshly chopped parsley and a choice of sour cream or yogurt. Enjoy these delicious stuffed cabbage rolls!
