At Rescue Spa, beauty isn’t just about products: it’s about memories, inspiration, and the people who first sparked our love for skincare, fragrance, and self-care. This week, a few of our team members reflect on the earliest moments that shaped their beauty journeys.
Meghan: My Granmarie has been in love with makeup for as long as I can remember. She introduced me to the world of beauty early on. While I loved how makeup could make you feel confident and radiant, my real fascination was with skincare — the ingredients, the science, and how it all worked from the inside out.
In high school, Granmarie even helped me sell Mary Kay to raise money for a trip to Japan! Later, while in college, I treated myself to my very first facial at Rescue Spa, a birthday gift to myself. That experience inspired me to get my esthetician license, and now I feel so lucky to share my love of skincare with our clients, just like my Granmarie once shared hers with me.

Sandra: One of my earliest beauty memories takes me back to when a new beauty store opened just around the corner from my house. My friends and I would visit almost every week, trying on makeup, swatching new products, and spritzing every perfume in sight. It was pure magic — the same feeling I get at Rescue Spa today (though, sadly, that little shop closed years ago!). That early excitement definitely sparked my lifelong love of beauty.

Nicole: My earliest beauty memory is of my mom getting ready for a night out in the ’90s, wearing her signature Angel by Mugler perfume. I remember being completely captivated by the scent and in awe of how glamorous she looked. To this day, no one has a better perfume collection than my mom! She’s the reason I fell in love with beauty in the first place.
Working at Rescue Spa truly feels like a dream come true — a place where I’m constantly inspired by our clients and the incredible products we carry.

Geo: My earliest beauty memory is of my grandmother sending me to the department store to buy her Oil of Olay and Beautiful by Estée Lauder. She never missed a day — cleansing her skin morning and night with a washcloth, applying her Oil of Olay, and finishing with her fragrance, even if she wasn’t going anywhere.
She lived to be 93 and didn’t have a wrinkle in sight! When I’d spend weekends with her, she’d cleanse my skin and apply Oil of Olay to my face, just like she did for herself.
Working at Rescue Spa allows me to carry on her legacy, her love for skincare and fragrance, and I often wish she could see my own little oasis: my workplace, my Rescue.
