Super Bowl LVIII was quite the show this year! However, us over at Rescue Spa weren’t just watching it for the game. We were patiently awaiting Usher’s halftime performance, more importantly his glowing skin. Erryn Howard over at Secret Philadelphia wrote a feature on the secret behind Usher’s glowing skin in the 2024 Super Bowl. Howard writes, “In order to prep for the highly-anticipated show, celebrity makeup artist and male groomer, Lola Okanlawon exclusively used the complete Danucera skincare line”!
Lola Okanlawon, the hands behind Usher’s skin for the halftime show explained “[she] used the complete Danucera line to nourish and perfect the skin. This made his skin supple and perfectly prepped.” If you are looking for equally supple and prepped skin, just like Usher see the full routine Lola used below:
- Step 1: Sculpting Stone – used to help release any tension in Usher’s face. This helped with lymphatic drainage and re-oxygenation of the blood so the skin prep penetrated deeply into the skin.
- Step 2: Cerabalm – used too cleanse the skin! Cleansing the skin is important to get rid of toxins and impurities for a clean canvas.
- Step 3: D22 Tonic – used to tone Usher’s skin. This helps promote smooth and glowy skin and balances the pH of his skin.
- Step 4: Cream Supreme – used to make Usher’s skin supple before priming the skin for complexion
- Step 5: Iconic Eye – used to make Usher’s under eyes hydrated and brightened.
Lola added a pro-tip, “right before halftime, I used the Dual Washcloth to dab any sweat without disrupting his complexion and letting his skin shine through.”
