Sunday Reset: Summer in the City with Danuta Mieloch

There’s something magical about summer in New York. The light hits differently, the city slows just enough to breathe, and there’s a quiet invitation to reconnect—with yourself, with beauty, with what matters. For me, summer is about rituals that bring me back to center, no matter where I am in the world.

Here’s how I spend a perfect summer day in the city.

Wake up: Move the body, calm the mind

I start the day with movement—yoga or Pilates to awaken the body, strengthen from within, and clear the mind. That first hour is sacred. Afterward, I take my Liposomal Glutathione from Cymbiotika—citrus berry flavored. It’s a simple ritual that sets the tone: beauty begins within.

Get coffee: Macchiato, always

Then it’s time for Ralph’s Coffee—my go-to for a perfect macchiato. It’s a small joy that energizes the day.

Skincare is my language

Whether I’m talking with clients, estheticians, or followers, the conversation always finds its way back to skin. It’s what I love—educating, guiding, and inspiring with truth and care.

Midday reset: The Rescue Spa Ritual

My ultimate summer reset begins at Rescue Spa with the Fix-It-All Facial—a treatment that, as the name suggests, addresses everything your skin needs. It’s the perfect answer to sun exposure, travel fatigue, city stress, and general dullness.

This facial combines microdermabrasion to deeply exfoliate and refine, microcurrent to lift and tone, LED therapy to heal and boost radiance, and a signature lifting facial massage that re-energizes the face and mind. It’s intelligent, technical, and intuitive—grounded in decades of skin expertise. It’s a summer must-have. Every time I get off the table, I feel transformed—brighter, firmer, more alive.

To complete the ritual, I follow with a classic manicure and pedicure—simple, clean, polished—and a blowout. There’s something empowering about walking out of the spa feeling completely renewed from head to toe.

Lunch: Let the chef decide

Across the street at abc cocina, I love asking the chef for their recommendation. It keeps me connected to what’s fresh and in season—and adds a touch of surprise to the day. Nourishment should feel both intentional and joyful.

Afternoon: Style as self-care

Later, I might head uptown for a bit of shopping. Lately, I’m loving refined loungewear from The Row—pieces that are timeless, luxurious, and effortless. When clothes feel good on the skin, they change how you carry yourself.

Evenings: Small acts, big energy

Evenings are for slowing down. I make chamomile tea, take a long, grounding shower, and indulge in my evening skincare routine. At the heart of it all is Cerabalm—my ritual in a jar. The honeyed texture, the versatility, the nourishment—it’s essential. I never travel without it.
