As the leaves start to fall and the air becomes crisp, it is only right to consider what’s in season. Caramel browns and chocolates mixed with some moody smudgy eyes are on the menu for us this fall. Luckily, we have a professional makeup artist, Chrissy Moore, who is able to break down a couple looks for us.

Latte Makeup

Taking inspiration from our favorite morning beverage, especially in the fall, our Philadelphia makeup artist Chrissy Moore put together a sultry, bronzed makeup look using the coziest colors. This look focuses on the bronzers and the browns rather than the typical warm orange and red undertones we might have been used to over the summer.

  1. Apply the Next Generation Eye Base in Light to prep and prime the lids. This is an important step to enhance the wear of your eyeshadow and prevent creasing.
  2. You want to go in with a soft taupe shadow, I did the Mermaid Eye Matte in Olivia, this will cover the entire lid.
  3. In the crease, go in with a chocolate shade, like Chocolat from Chantecaille. This you can blend out with a blender brush until fully diffused.
  4. A black or coffee colored eyeliner on the top lash line and a mocha or chocolate brown on the bottom lash line, this adds dimension to the eyes.
*My favorite eyeliner at the moment is the Eye Love You Pencil, it is non-irritating and glides so smoothly!
  5. For the cheeks, channel your favorite latte and apply a soft layer of Real Bronze in Sirena followed by the Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in Dou Dou
  6. Finish off the look with your best brown or deep red lip!

Grunge Glam

The grunge aesthetic is back, but make it glam! You are probably wondering, what is the vibe of a grunge glam? Think dark matte eyes, neutral blush and sheer matte lips. The focus here is the eyes.

  1. Apply the Next Generation Eye Base in Light to prep and prime the lids. This is an important step to enhance the wear of your eyeshadow and prevent creasing.
  2. Now is the time to take out that black eyeshadow you have been saving. The Eye Pods Les Nuits in shade Noir is the perfect black. You are going to want to apply this with a flat brush (try this one).
  3. Add in another layer of your Noir in the crease but this time blend out with a blender brush until diffused.
  4. Black eyeliner on the top and bottom lash line of course! Eye Love You Pencil in Noir is your best friend here.
  5. Eye Want You Mascara in Clean Black is key to finishing the eye look. This mascara in particular is nourishing to the lashes without clumping or flaking.
  6. No need for an intense blush in this look, a soft and subtle shade such as Grace will bring some life to the skin without overpowering.
  7. The Plasma Lip Compound can finish off the look.
